A collaborative effort with centres around the UK, the LISP study seeks to characterise secondary spontaneous pneumothorax (SSP), to improve management and patient outcomes. With data collection from diverse socioeconomic and geographic sites, this prospective, observational study will establish the characteristics, healthcare burden, management, and outcomes of SSP in UK over a 1-year period. Furthermore, we will seek to establish outcomes such as predictors of failure of medical management and persistent air leak.
